E is for Endorphins

It’s funny that we ran 8 miles tonight and the conversation came up that we were all glad we ran 8 miles because 6 miles is just not quite enough. I got thinking that he was right and 6 miles doesn’t quite give you that boost or extra something. What is that extra something?

It’s the little special feeling you have when you finish a hard run and maybe the time meant to be is an hour? Maybe the time is the extra exertion. I don’t get the same feeling after running a short distance.

It’s hard to explain why and how it is only the “IS”.
