Running Changes Lives

I'm running Grandma's Marathon on June 21, 2026 to raise money for Mile in My Shoes. They help people in recovery, shelters, and reentry programs discover they can do hard things.

Why Mile in My Shoes?

Mile in My Shoes changes lives. They meet people where they are: recovery programs, shelters, veterans services, reentry programs. And they use running to help people discover something powerful: that they can do hard things.

Every mile someone runs with MiMS is a step toward believing in themselves again. Every finish line crossed is proof that forward is possible.

I've seen it happen. I've watched people who didn't think they could run a block train for and complete a marathon. That transformation doesn't come from sneakers or training plans. It comes from a community that shows up, believes in you before you believe in yourself, and refuses to let you cross the finish line alone.

That's what MiMS does. That's why I'm raising money for them.

I've run marathons from Minnesota's subzero winters to scorching desert heat. Running has given me so much. This is my way of giving back.
